I look at my iPod Nano, iTouch and iPhone ….marvel at the simplicity and elegance of the devices…..how they appeal to me at an emotional level. I feel the magnetic pull of the Apple products counter as I walk into Best Buy and wonder why my daughter and I are so drawn to the iPad and the Mac’s on display, even though they are surrounded by similar copycat tablets and computers. I wonder why none of the other manufacturers could come up with the iPad, iPhone, iPod themselves. They are so quick to copy, even though they have the financial and technical resources to come up with something revolutionary…but then they didn’t have the brilliance of one named Steve Jobs.
“That’s been one of my mantras — focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains.” …….BusinessWeek, May 25, 1998
